Mzbel is urging Ghanaians to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) so she can get her life back together.

According to her, she hasn't been able to do music ever since the NPP came into power because they have blacklisted her from shows.

This blacklisting came as a result of her openly declaring support for the opposition NDC.

She revealed this in an interview on Accra-based Accra FM where she explained that show organisers often terminate contracts with her because the government would not sponsor shows with her name on it.

“I haven’t stopped singing but the problem is I’ve been facing a lot of challenges because of politics. For instance, when I’m invited to perform and the guest of honour is a government official, his people can threaten to boycott the event because I would be performing. Because of that, I’m no longer being invited for shows.”

Mzbel, who recently set herself up for a return to the entertainment world by signing a lucrative musical deal with a Belgian record label, has been on a career hiatus for a long while due to the position she finds herself in.

According to her, the deal signifies her return unto the music scene as she has not dropped any new songs for some time now.

The excited artiste was quick to announce the new development on her Instagram page with the caption: "Big thanks to “Goodies Music International” for believing that my Brand “Mzbel” can easily make it on the International Market even at age 40."

"I am very grateful for the opportunity to be signed on your Record Label. I promise to do my best and to make Ghana proud once again on the international market. Thank u so much…. OMG just when I thought it's over” she said.
