Ahanta West Health Director Cries Over Robbery Attacks On Health Workers

The Municipal Health Director for Ahanta West, Dr. Timothy Kobena Ofori has expressed worry at the rate of robbery attacks on health workers in the municipality.

He asserted that the safety of these health workers is at risk due to the frequent robbery attacks on health personnel.

He declared that the workers are unable to deliver their services due to the attacks.

Dr. Timothy Kobena Ofori again said, there have been several instances where motorcycles used in discharging healthcare for children have been stolen and some of the workers are being hurt.

The Municipal Health Director furthers revealed that nurses in the municipality were constantly attacked and robbed them their treasures.

Dr. Ofori disclosed that these same criminals stole logistics meant for delivering healthcare of health facilities in the municipal.

The Municipal Health Director again expressed worry about how midwives attending delivery were robbed.

He however pleaded with authorities of the Ahanta West Municipal to provide health workers or facilities with maximum security, a step he believes will curb the menace.
