The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has finally let the cat out of the bag as he boldly disclosed the truth over the minority’s refusal to accept the most anticipated E-levy in parliament.
Speaking in a recent interview on the most anticipated “The Pulse” show on Joy News, the General Secretary of the largest opposition, Johnson Asiedu took the privilege to express immense disappointment in the majority caucus in parliament aside from revealing another secret over why the minority caucus has failed to accept the most anticipated E-levy in parliament.
According to the General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketiah made it was clear that the NDC advised the NPP to return to stakeholder engagements and how to proceed with the most anticipated E-levy but the incumbent government unpredictably refused.
In addition to this, the General Secretary of the largest opposition party, NDC, Asiedu Nketiah highlighted that the current economic situation of the country has to be taken into consideration before implementing the E-levy which the incumbent government didn’t take into consideration hence the minority’s efforts to refusing the E-levy.
“We advised the NPP to revisit stakeholder engagement and how to proceed with the E-levy, but they refused. Negotiations on the bill must be free”, Asiedu Nketiah emphatically revealed.
