Berekum residents express worry over inadequate waste bins

The residents of Berekum East and West Municipal and District Assemblies in the Bono Region are crying to Zoomlion operators to supply them with additional refuse trucks as refuse is taking over the town.

Speaking to some residents whose dust bins have been uncollected for the past months by the Organisation is at the neck of the company for failing to collect their refuse causing a lot of health treatment to them all because refuse has been remaining scattered in their various surroundings.

Some people of Berekum West District capital Jinijini, also argued that even their refuse trucks that were seen collecting the refuse at the Jinijini township have also been added to that of people of Berekum East leaving them to keep their refuse without no one coming to collect them.

According to information gathered by Sorienews correspondent Opamago Paparichy in  Berekum, the Zoomlion Organisation can only boost 4 refuse trucks, one for the door to door refuse collections whiles the other three are for refuse deposit transportation which two of the tracks have also developed a fault and are on repairs leading to huge refuse containers to pack in front of people houses in Berekum.

A situation where care is not taken can spike any health hazards.

Some institutions like police stations, banks, hotels, hospitals, chop bars, market places, and lorry stations among others were not left out of the packed refuse dust bins abandoned.

They, therefore, called on the Zoomlion Company Ltd in the country to come to the rescue of the people of Berekum East and West to provide them with additional refuse trucks to boost the sanitation standards in the area since cleanliness is next to godliness.
