Chelsea have put the Ben Chilwell deal to bed following months of speculations.

The Leicester left-back have made his £50m move to the Blues on Wednesday, August 26, and signed a five-year contract to be part of Frank Lampard’s project.

“Leicester City Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the sale of Ben Chilwell to Chelsea for an undisclosed fee,” his former club revealed in a statement.

“The 23-year-old left-back came through the ranks of Leicester City’s Academy and his transfer will see the Stamford Bridge side pay one of the largest transfer fees ever received by the Foxes.

The 23-year old after making his move underlined Frank Lampard’s assurance as one key reason why he chose to play at Stamford Bridge.
