Chimamanda Adichie Hosts Kenyan Star, Lupita Nyong’o In Lagos

Americanah is a novel by the Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, for which Adichie won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Fiction award. It has been a passion project for Nyong’o, the Kenyan-born Oscar winner who optioned the rights in 2014 after falling in love with the novel.

Award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie hosted Kenyan-born Hollywood actress, Lupita Nyong’o in Lagos on Saturday.

 

 

The private reception hosted in honor of Lupita Nyong’o, was attended by some Nigerian celebrities which include D’banj, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Omawumi, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toolz, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Ebuka, Flavour, Bovi and a host of other celebrities.

Lupita Nyong'o is coming ahead of the screening of Americanah, an upcoming drama miniseries by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Lupita Nyong’o featured in the ten-episode HBO series directed by Danai Gurira.
