The Chief of Sefwi Nsuonsua who doubles as the Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council in the Western North Region, Nana Eluo Payini III has advised the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to find a way of collaborating with the Traditional Councils to work hand in hand to sensitse the public on Covid-19 vaccines.

Nana Eluo Payini III comments surface in relation to claims by some Ghanaians who have suggested that the covid-19 vaccines are fake, therefore will resist any attempt by the government of Ghana to persuade or compel them to take the dose.

The Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council told SN24 News in an interview that the GHS should work in partnership with traditional leaders to educate the public on the need for the Ghanaian citizenry to take the Covi-19 vaccination.

The Kyidomhene further said, the GHS should clearly lay down the dangers involved in resisting the vaccine. This he said will help the public to understand the need to go for it.

“The GHS must come out plainly and communicate to Ghanaians reasons why they must go for the covid-19 injection. I think they can team up with us to edify the public and this will entice them to go for the vaccine because already they think the vaccine is fake,", he entreated.

He declared that he is ever ready to take the vaccination with his family and ready to help the GHS to educate the public on the vaccines.

He advised that Ghanaians should however dispel all reservations about the genuinity of the covid-19 vaccine and go for the vaccination.
