The Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Ms Rebecca Quainoo has instructed headmasters in both Private and government schools not to prevent any student owing school fees and other levies from writing the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

The Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Ms Rebecca Quainoo has instructed headmasters in both Private and government schools not to prevent any student from writing the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) because of the non-payment of fees and other levies. 

Ms Quainoo speaking with Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful said the examination holds the future of the students saying preventing the children from writing the examination could jeopardise their future for good.

She appealed to the heads to allow the students to write the examination as measures are in place to let the students pay it later when they going for their certificate.

She noted that all the exams materials are in place to ensure effective examination for 2021.

She disclosed that out of the 42,089 candidates who are sitting for the 2021 Wassce in the central region, 21,306 are males and 20,785 are females.

She also admonished invigilators to desist from aiding candidates in the examination malpractice to avoid the wrath of WAEC.
