Don't leave a decent man for another because of money , advises Maame Dokono

Ghanaian actress Madam Grace Omaboe, better known on stage as Maame Dokono, discussed her biggest regret in an interview with Delay.

The combat veteran laments how she should never have divorced her first husband. He claimed that she was too young to comprehend his compassion.

A 2012 video of the actress discussing her numerous weddings is being widely distributed in the hopes that her message will go viral.

"I have been married twice, but the last one was quite difficult for me. I frequently remark that if I had known how my second marriage would have gone, Maame Dokono told Delay, she would have remained with her first husband.

Maame Dokono explained that she had separated from her first husband as a result of pressure from their arguments and her own ignorance. She claimed that despite the fact that he is married, they are still friends and that he is always there for her.

Maame Dokono states that despite giving her every material comfort money could buy, her second husband did not treat her with respect.

"I always say that if I had known then what I know now about marriage, I wouldn't have left him (her first husband).

I wish to dedicate my life to helping underprivileged women and children after ending these two marriages.

Before we ended our chat, Maame Dokono had some parting advice for Delay and all the lonely women out there.

You've found a man who loves you, she said, "Have patience, and marry a man who will accept you for who you are." Someone who won't try to con you with their wealth and good looks.

"Speak to him such that you both understand one another. Don't be arrogant. Time progresses. Be modest and look for a decent man. Good men are hard to come by, so when you do, treat him like an egg.
