ECG Notify Residents of Obuasi and its Environs on Power Outage

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced of an impending power outage in the whole of Obuasi Municipality on Thursday.
According to a press release signed by the Coordinator of Obuasi Business Center, James Fenyi Fosu, the unavailability of power is as a result of “the second phase maintenance to be carried out by our substation maintenance team on our underground cable running from GRIDco Substation to PDS primary substation at Wawasi”.

The areas communicated to be affected are the whole of Obuasi Municipality, Fomena, Dompoase, Akrokerri and its surrounding areas, Bodwesango, New Edubiase, Akrofuom and aurrounding areas, Jacobu, Fiankoma, Numereso and its environs.
The exercise is happening on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 9 am to 4 pm.
