Farmers lack marketing skills to sell their produce- CSIR
Dr. Manteaw indicated that using digital technology is a way farmers can use to market their product irrespective of location.
Director at the Council For Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of the Institute for Scientific andTechnological Information, Dr.Seth Awuku Manteaw has revealed that one major challenge confronting farmers under this technological dispensation is lack of marketing skills.
According to him most, farmers focus on planting and producing food crops instead of adding marketing to enable them market their produce.
Dr. Manteaw indicated that using digital technology is a way farmers can use to market their product irrespective of location.
He made this statement at a dissemination workshop on "Gendered Characteristics, Adoption and Improved Cassava Variety" in selected districts of the Volta Region.
The workshop was organized by Modernizing Agriculture in Ghana (MAG) in collaboration with Council for scientific and Industrial Research-Ghana CSIR in Accra.
