Headmaster laments over converting his office into a sickbay

The sickbay was created at the headmaster's office due to the unavailability of a health facility at the Shalom Special School at Nkoranza, Ghana.

The Headmaster of Shalom Special School at Nkoranza in the Bono East Region, Mr Frank Amoah has lamented over how his office is been converted to sickbay to aid quick recovery of the unwell.

According to him, Special School in the Region lacks a Health facility to accommodate and give maximum attention to students so the only option was to convert his office as a temporal place for the students.

Again, he hinted that a permanent nurse should be available at the school to provide health care delivery to the students.

Speaking with Soireenews Bono East Soireenews Regional  Correspondent George Osei, he emphasized that their current compound is not conducive for the pupil due to its small nature for activities however more dormitories must also be provided by government and stakeholders to accommodate other students.

He, therefore, advised parents not to abandon their wards in the school but however be supportive and pay the regular visits, a decision of hope to the students regarding how significant their welfare is valued in the eyes of guardians.

The Regional Minister for Bono East, Honourable Kofi Amoakohene also affirmed that his outfit will collaborate with the headmaster to support their basic needs and also appealed to the public to be of help to them .

He advised that Special people are also part of the building process hence the need to embrace and show love towards them.
