District Chief Executive for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Mr Yaw Danso has dared journalists to arrest illegal miners and arrest him too if they feel he is the brain behind the trade in the district.

He said it is not his duty to take care of a reserved forest in his area even if illegal miners (Galamseyers) have attacked it.

Mr Yaw Danso has been named as one of the galamsey kingpins ruining the Asiwa reserved forest with illegal mining for selfish gains. The revelation had been made during a protest by the people of Dannso against Galamsey and the attack on Asiwa forest.

Journalists embarking on their duty however went to the District Chief Executive's office to get his side of the allegations made against him by the protesters.

Unfortunately, the DCE was out of office, therefore, he was contacted via phone where he vomited out cheeky answers.

"Is it my duty to take care of a forest reserve if someone destroys it? You’re also Ghanaians so report the case to the police for their arrest or you people should go to the forest guards and lodge a  complaint." He vociferously stated in the phone call.

He declined to meet the press since he claimed to have moved to Kumasi.
