Ghanaian artiste, Joint 77, has revealed that he has been better off after he quit the Shatta Movement (SM).

According to him, he can now buy cars for himself and in fact has gotten two after Shatta Wale sacked him. He stated that he had to drive Shatta Wale's cars when he was still under the movement.

Joint 77 now claims that he has since imported multiple cars to support his own musical career after the whole incident. He was part of the 4 militants sacked by the dancehall king from the famous SM camp including Natty Lee, Captan and Addi Self.

While speaking on the 3FM Drive to Giovani Caleb, Joint 77 explained that he had to return all the properties, including cars, which belonged to Shatta Wale when they were in the camp, but his new management has been able to acquire brand new ones for him.

“I returned the car to him,” he said adding, “right now I’m driving my car and even one is on the sea coming.”

He narrated how he met Shatta Wale 15 years ago in a recording studio and admitted that he has nothing but love for the dancehall legend.

“I have known Shatta fifteen years now. We first met in a studio. I heard his music from the days of Bandana way back then. He was recording when I walked into the studio and I heard him singing and I said this is a great guy.

“After that, I started talking to him that I liked the way he was singing and that I will like to come around. He also listened to one of my songs and he said it was good and that I should keep trying, everything will be fine,” he said.

“I like how he works, he is a very hard working guy so I always want to follow his steps. That was what I picked from him. I realized that I had to also put in hard work other than that I cannot get to where I want to go.
