According to the Queen's mother, the regional capital's population is vastly increasing and since many people have come to stay in Sunyani, she will do her best to keep the town clean hence her plan to introduce the Omanhemaa Aprapra to always keep Sunyani clean".

The Queen Mother of Sunyani Traditional Council, Nana Akosua Dua-Asor Sika Brayie has over the weekends pledged her commitment as a Queen mother to make sure Sunyani the sun city becomes the cleanest city in the next three years in Africa

According to the Queen's mother" Despite the covid-19 pandemic, we didn't record many cases since we are the cleanest city in Ghana and it is my commitment that, by the next three years to come, Sunyani will be the cleanest city in the entire African continent not even the cities and towns in the country.

The Queen mother made this known over the weekend on Saturday, 11th February 2023 during "Omanhemaa Aprapra" together with the workers of zoomlion Ghana and Sunyani Municipal Assembly and the entire people of Sunyani cleaned gutters and swept the streets to keep the city clean as there's a saying "cleanliness" they say, "Is next to Godliness".

She said, the poor sanitation challenge the town is experiencing now in Sunyani is attributed to the population growth in the city and said she is ready to commit to action to bring on board "Omanhemaa Aprapra" quarterly to make Sunyani the cleanest city.

The Queen mother applauded some companies and institutions who assisted in supplying tools like trash bins, shovels, and brooms among others to facilitate waste collection and disposal during the clean-up exercise.
 
Nanahemaa finally expressed her gratitude to all individuals who were present to make the clean-up exercise a success.
