Lack Of Portable Water Making Life Unbearable For Us - Nkontomire Residents Lament.

Inhabitants at Nkontomire in the Atwima Nwabiagya south district of the Ashanti region are appealing to the District Assembly and charitable organizations to aid them with potable water.

The residents are much worried because they vote to elect leaders to assist them ease hardship but they say,  leaders have disappointed them woefully regards to development.

Engagement with some Residents they disclosed that the community had four boreholes, which three of the boreholes had developed fault hence the entire community is impelled to bank on a single borehole for water.

Others are forced to fetch from "River Nkontomire" which is a bit worrying to them, explaining that, the stream they drink from is not treated by the Ghana water company limited which poses a threat to them regarding their health. 

According to them, The water issue is affecting them massively which needs to be fixed urgently. "We are at times forced to be in a queue till midnight before we could get water". 

Some stressed that Inadequate sources of potable water sometimes arise in violence against women in the community for their inability to get water on time to cook for their husbands working on the farm.

The residents are unhappy with the current state of water in the community, they are pleading to the authority for assistance.
