The Ghana Statistical Service is urging all citizens of Ahafo to participate in the upcoming population and housing census.

The 30 days 2021 population and housing census exercise seek to enumerate all persons and living quarters in Ghana.

Ahafo Regional Director of Ghana Statistical Service, Mr Bernard Oduro speaking in an interview with Soireenews Sulley Dramani in Goaso, said the outcome of the exercise will inform leaders of the country whether the social amenities needed in each Community, districts and regions are be provided or not and therefore no one must be left out.

The 2021 population Housing census which begins on the night of Sunday, 27 June provide the current population of the region by age, sex, educational level, marital status, Occupation, economic activity and geographic area of the residence.

Mr Bernard believes the will of the people in the region to volunteer themselves for the census will enable Authorities to plan towards the development of health facilities, water, schools among others.

Mr Bernard Oduro, therefore, appealed to opinion leaders including the chiefs, Assembly members, Unit Committees, Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Ahafo Region to ensure everyone counted before the end of the 30 days.
