Liverpool has made enquiries on Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

Tuttomercatoweb has reported that Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have entered the race to sign the Senegalese International.

Koulibaly has been a long-time admirer of Manchester United and according to the Italian outlet, Napoli may need to part with their prized centre back to help recover from the coronavirus shutdown, with Man United eyeing him as the perfect man to partner Harry Maguire in defence.

However, Liverpool are also reportedly looking to centre back reinforcements and are also interested in the Senegal international.

The position of Sadio Mane in relation to the deal puts Liverpool in a better position to secure the services of the Senegalese especially when Jurgen Klopp is fond of putting much confidence in African players and giving them much playing time to deliver.

Report claims that the player’s initial value of €100million has dropped somewhat in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic.

Koulibaly’s partnership with Virgil Van Dijk would be one of the greatest defense for the Reds in history when the muscled 28-year-old is at his very best giving attackers a tough opposition to break down defences.

Klopp is never giving up with the club optimistic of securing their forth silverware and first Premier League title after going 25 points on top of the league halted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Tuttomercatoweb added that the talk between both clubs are strong and a deal is optimistic to materialize.
