Lydia Forson: "Africa's film industry requires improved infrastructure"

In her opinion, meaningful talks about the infrastructure and safety issues that filmmakers throughout the continent face are necessary to reduce the risks that stakeholders—especially actors and production crew face.

"I’m so triggered by this loss. So many risks we take that we shouldn’t, so many times we’ve survived near-death experiences; all in the bid to entertain & tell stories. Our industries need and deserve better than just our passion. This is why some of us fight so hard for it," she shared on X recently.

The actress emphasized that in order to protect the lives of its stakeholders, the film industry urgently has to adopt strong safety regulations and logistical support measures.
