Tyron Mings has extended his contract with Aston Villa, the club announced on Monday.

 

 

Mings was linked to Manchester United and Liverpool during project restart but interests seem quenched with the transfer window fast approaching.

The 27-year old made 37 appearances for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions following his debut in 2019 joining from Bournemouth.

The English defender received a call up to the full England squad and made his debut when England played Bulgaria in the Euro qualification in October last year.

He is the second player to have committed his future to Aston Villa after Jack Grealish penned a five-year contract last week.

Aston Villa will come against Sheffield United following a postponement of their first game due to Manchester City’s participation in Europe in August which neccessitated a week rest by the Premier League.
