The current Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, has disclosed that his lack of domestic prowess forced him to live at the Lowry hotel when he was in charge of Manchester United.

Mourinho was appointed Manchester United manager in May 2016, and he was sacked in December 2018 after the Red Devils lost a Premier League game against Liverpool.

Meanwhile, during his reign as Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho spent 895 days at the Lowry hotel and the Portuguese has now explained the rationale behind the decision.

Jose Mourinho was expected to buy a house in Manchester considering how rich he is, but the man known as the 'Special One' has a different thought.

"I would have to clean, I don't want. I would have to iron, I don't know how to. I would have to cook, I would cook fried eggs and sausages. That's the only thing I can do."

Ahead of Tottenham's Premier League game against Manchester United on Wednesday night, December 4, at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho gave an insight.

''I would be unhappy if I was in a house on my own. I would have to clean, I don’t want that. I would have to iron, I don’t know how to.

“I would have to cook. Fried eggs and sausages — that’s the only thing I can do. I would be very unhappy.

“I lived in an amazing apartment, it was not a room. It was mine all the time.

“It was not like after one week I had to leave. No, it was mine. I left everything there, I had my television, my books, my computer.

“It was a flat, with a phone. ‘Bring me a coffee latte, please’ or ‘I don’t want to go down for dinner, bring my dinner up,'' Jose Mourinho said.
