MP Launches Relief Fund To Support Victims Of Madina Market Fire Disaster

THE National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Francis-Xavier Sosu has launched a relief fund to support victims of MADINA market fire disaster.
The fund was launched during a tour of the market on Friday, 12th April, 2024
The SMRF has been established to provide assistance to traders who suffered losses of their merchandise and goods during the fire outbreak on April 10, 2024 at the market.
In addition, the fund will also offer insurance coverage to all impacted traders.

The MP indicated that representatives from his office, Madina Chief’s palace, Madina Market Executives, NARMO, the Assemblyman, Fire Service, Ghana Police would constitute the Baord of Trustees of the said fund and administer same to affected victims.
The MP tasked the Assemblyman, and NADMO representatives and the Market Queen to put together the list of affected traders and estimates of their loses.
The traders expressed appreciation to the MP for his effort to provide relief for them in these difficult time.
