The Super Eagles duo of Calvin Bassey and Frank Onyeka have left camp ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against Mali.

Bassey missed the 2-1 win over Ghana on Friday, but Onyeka played in the game.

Both players have now flown back to their base in the UK, where they will continue their recovery as the business end of the season kicks in.

The rest of the Eagles squad have continued training for the next friendly.

All the remaining 22 players are available for selection.

Nigeria will take on Mali at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Tuesday and interim head coach, Finidi George, is expected to shake up his starting XI.

In their recent high-profile friendly encounter against Ghana's Black Stars, Nigeria secured a hard-fought victory, bouncing back from their Africa Cup of Nations final defeat. The Super Eagles emerged triumphant with a 2-1 win, showcasing their resilience and determination on the field.

The victory over Ghana has bolstered the hopes of interim manager Finidi George, who is eyeing a permanent role at the helm of the Super Eagles. The former Nigeria international's aspirations received a significant boost following the team's impressive performance in Marrakech.
