Unvaccinated delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)  will not be allowed entry at the upcoming delegates conference. This was declared by Presidential advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsia-Asare.

This is part of government's measures to ensure all Ghanaians are vaccinated against Covid-19.

Dr Nsia-Asare made this statement when he was addressing journalists in Accra on Monday, 13 December 20

He stated: “I repeat: any delegate who is coming should be vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated yet, you have today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday to vaccinate before you go to Kumasi".

“If you don’t come with any vaccination card, the genuine one, we will check, you will not be allowed into the conference.”

The event comes off this Saturday, December 18 in Kumasi.

This information follows the detection of 41 cases of the Omicron variant of the Covid 19 here in Ghana. Also government has declared the month of December as a month of vaccination against COVID-19.

All these efforts are aimed at preventing a fourth wave in Ghana.
