Operations Manager of Concerned Kejetia Traders Association Mr Kwabena Fosu has said the Association in Collaboration with Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has inaugurated a Taskforce to compel people within the Kumasi Metropolis to wear nose masks.

The task force will commence work on Monday, 25th January 2021 and will arrest Covid-19 protocols offenders and arrange them before court.

"We have come into agreement with KMA to allow a Taskforce to arrest people who will not put on nose mask. We'll arrange them before court for the appropriate punishment. We're not going to pamper anyone, we'll deal with anyone who will flaunt the orders," he said.

The step the operations manager claims is a follow up to President Akufo-Addo's order of mandatory wearing of nose masks, a move which according to President Akufo-Addo will minimize the spread of pandemic coronavirus in Ghana.

The Association has however advised its members and the public to observe Covid-19 protocols in order to minimize its spread as cases of the pandemic coronavirus keeps surging every day.

Ghana's Covid-19 total cases today stands at 59,480, a total of 56,706 recoveries and 361 deaths.
