Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has insisted that the team’s impressive form will not impact their summer transfer plans.

The Gunners have won all seven Premier League games in 2024 by an aggregate score of 31-3.

They also became the first team in English football history to win three consecutive away games by five or more goals.

Arsenal are widely expected to bring in a centre-forward this summer, and Arteta says the plan has not changed.

"“The plans that we have for the summer are very clear,” Arteta told a news conference on Thursday.

“They were done almost at the start of the season understanding what we can have, the contract situations with some players, and how we can improve certain areas of the team. This situation doesn’t change that.”

One player who Arsenal have been heavily linked to is Brentford's Ivan Toney. They'll get a closer chance to watch the England international this weekend when he visits the Emirates, but Arteta remained coy over Arsenal's chances of signing him.
