Please return to work-Banda DCE  begs CLOGSAG

The District Chief Executive for Banda, in the Bono Region, Honorable. Emmanuel Akoneh has pleaded with members of the striking Civil and Local Government Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) to call off their strike and return to work.

He notified how their absences have been affecting the activities of the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District assemblies.

He called on the executives of CLOGSAG to give it a human face and consider the magnitudes of the commuters dependent on their work for development.

The District Chief Executive unfolded his view that the association has the statutory rights to exercise such activity but he will plead they should at least put in their thoughts on the future effect on the various Assemblies.

“I am humbly pleading to the nationwide Members of the CLOGSAG to reconsider and sympathize with the general public dependent on their works to reconsider their decision and call off the ongoing strike. I  think it will be frugal for the government to make things in a contentious way” He stated whiles discussing the ongoing strike by CLOGSAG with the media.

He again observed how his work as a DCE has been difficult due to the absence of the members of the CLOGSAG at the assembly saying he is been left alone in the Assembly with all other blocks being vacant.

Honorable. Akoneh emphasized that the strike of the CLOGSAG has affected the various assemblies in terms of administrative activities and even revenue collections.

He cried out that the assemblies that have little internally generated funds are suffering and therefore urged the government to intervene and aspire to the mediation desk to ensure the association's demands are met.
