Pre-mix fuel has been the most complained about problem by the fishers in the Krachi-East Municipal for about three to four years now.

The last consignment which was sold in Dambai was on Sunday, February 21. 2021 around 12:00 noon till evening.

According to some of the fishermen who agreed to speak to Soireenews based on the anonymity, "there are people who buy pre-mix fuel to keep and sell to the fishers at a double price when it is finished at the landing beach in Dambai".

One of them who only gave his name as Mawuli said, "at first, there were landing beaches close to us so anytime pre-mix fuel came, we were not struggling like this. But now everything has been centred in Dambai.

"We came here at dawn, around 1:00 am but as at 5:00 pm, we are still not getting it," he added.

Some of them alleged the sale of premix fuel has become political, that is If you don't belong to the ruling party, it is difficult for you to get some.

Meanwhile, Mr Jacob Dasievo, the pre-mix fuel coordinator in response said, he is aware of the problem and in solution, arrested one of those who buy in bulk and sell at a higher price but had to drop it due to some circumstances. According to him, he is urging the public to help him fight the canker.
