'Young Player of the Season' Award Launched in this Year's Premier League

The Award will be presented to the best-performing player who was aged 23 or younger at the start of the relevant season.

The English Football Association this season will award the best young performer in the Premier League.

The League has fashioned lot of youngsters from the various teams with the average age of teams at 26 years and 307 days, younger than at any stage of the competition's history after the inaugural season. 

 

 Apart from the PFA Young Player of the year accolade, the general public will have the chance to vote on the shortlisted candidates aged 23 and below using match data to choose players with outstanding performances and statistics across the season.

TAG Heuer, the official Timekeeper for the Premier League introduced the New Award for the 2019/2020 season in May and will sit along the already established Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Manager of the Season Award.
