Anyone who is not happy for JGQ is awitch-Juaboso MP

Member of Parliament for the Juaboso constituency, Honourable Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has stated that anyone unhappy with James Gakye Quayson has a witchcraft spirit.

The happy state of his side, he said is a general impression within the rank and file of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).

He made the remarks today, July 4, 2023, in parliament ahead of the historic swearing-in of the embattled Member of Parliament for Assin North.

He made the remarks to paint the picture of how elated their mood is for first, JGQ's historic winning of the highly tensioned by-election last Tuesday, June, and the swearing-in taking place this morning.

Gyakye Quayson had 1, 431 votes more than President Akufo-Addo and 2, 484 votes more than John Mahama in the Assin North Constituency during the 2020 general election.

But in the by-election, JGQ polled 17,205 as against the NPP candidate who had 14,193 representing 47%.
