The campaign launch forms part of the vaccination exercises in the country geared at reducing the outbreak of coronavirus in the country and also ending its Spread.

Bono East Regional Minister, Mr. Kwasi Adu Gyan has launched the region’s coronavirus vaccination campaign.

The motive of the campaign is to sensitize the people of Bono East on the need to get the Covid-19 vaccination.

The campaign launch also forms part of the vaccination exercises in the country geared at reducing the outbreak of coronavirus in the country and also ending its Spread.

The event came off Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the Abrafi Women and Children's Hospital in Techiman, the Region’s capital.

Already, neighbouring regions such as Bono and Ashanti have started their vaccination as scheduled by the Ghana Health service.

The Regional Minister for Bono East Mr. Kwasi Adu Gyan speaking at the launch applauded the government for the effort made in distributing the AstraZeneca vaccine to all regions.

He assured the public to take part in the exercise as it is safe.

At the launch of the vaccination campaign person including health workers, educationists and other staff members of the Regional Coordinating took their jabs to signify the region's readiness to take the vaccines.

The Bono East Regional Health Director, Dr. Fred Adomako speaking at the launch said the estimated population for vaccination hinges around 1 million with 7,000 health workers are expected to take their jab.

He said all the districts under their watch are taking part in the vaccination exercise.
