The Nifahene of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region, Nana Kuntu Blankson VII, has expressed gratitude to the Vice- President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for assisting Gomoa Nyanyano to a get Senior High School (SHS)
Consequently, the traditional ruler commended the Minister for Education, Dr, Adutwum for making it possible for Gomoa Nyanyano to get a Senior Secondary School after many years of efforts to get the project executed.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews. com, Nana Kuntu Blankson VII noted that 
recently he and his colleague chiefs went to meet the government for the project for Nyanyano but when they went they found out that many other people from other parts of the country also want the same facility. 
"It is therefore heartwarming that despite the efforts, the Gomoa Nyanyano was selected as one of the towns to get approval for a new SHS,"he stated.
He noted that last year a good number of students from his area could not get admission to SHS due to lack of the facility in the area.
He said it is heartwarming that apart from Nyanyano residents’ students of other parts of the country would also get access to the School.
Touching on poverty which prevents many student from going to school, Nana Kuntu Blankson suggested that poor parents have to always make arrangements with teachers for the teachers to allow their wards to go to school for their fees to be paid in installment .
The Chief continued that sea work , or finishing is a vocation that does not bring money to fishermen on regular basis , so people in such a situation have to arrange with teachers to pay in installment .
Speaking on lack of potable water problem in the town and its surrounding, Nana Blankson complained that something should be done on the issue immediately.
The Chief took the opportunity to appeal to the  Ghana Water and Sewerage Company, GWCL, to come to their aid .
