Jose Mourinho is not moved by Glenn Hoddle’s unkind comments towards his club after their Europa League exit in the hands of Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night.

Tottenham Hotspurs whose hopes of winning a trophy this season have had their chances narrowed down to only the Carabao Cup after Mislav Orsic completed a hat trick to sink the English side on 3-2 aggregate.

Mourinho after the game walked into Zagreb's dressing room to congratulate them for taking their chances against a strong Spurs side.

Spurs former manager, Glenn Hoddle comments after the game branded the club who were with Kane and Son at front as having put in a disgraceful performance to surrender such a two-goal lead in the hands of the Croatian club.

“It was a disastrous performance, a disastrous result for the club. Spurs were diabolical. Mentally, they got it wrong right through the game,” Glenn Hoddle said.

Mourinho during the post-match interview was greeted with the comments from the ex-spurs manager but addressed that every remark on the night’s display is welcome and he and his team “will accept that.”

“No. Mr Hoddle, of course, is a legend at the club and every word that he says, sometimes negative, sometimes positive, has to be respected,” he told BT Sport.

“But I do not need Mr Hoddle’s words to feel hurt and as I said, more than sad. Sad is not enough.

“I totally respect everything that somebody connected or not connected with the club says about us tonight.

“I think we have to accept. The problem will be if some accept in a positive way in a sense of feeling hurt and ashamed with the critics.

“Another story is if you don’t feel it, if you don’t care, if you don’t read, and that is a much deeper problem.

“But I repeat, I don’t need external critics because I feel deeply hurt with what happened with my team.”

Spurs now have the Carabao Cup as the only trophy to end their 13-year wait for a trophy.
