Briefing the press after the meeting, the Akyeamehene of the Juabeng Traditional Area, Nana Adjei Acheampong condemned the actions of the delegates and informed that the charges pronounced on culprits is an experience to avert them from a repetition.

“The actions taken by the delegates was unreasonable as residents of Juabeng. Invoking a curse and the inappropriate use of the chief’s name in their deeds was contempt. They have been advised never to repeat it ever again and the chief has assured to put things in order for peace and sanity to prevail in the country.

“They have been charged with 12 sheep and 24 pieces of schnapps to revoke the curse and pacify whoever was affected by the misfortune,” he said.

Nana Adjei explained that although the people who undertook the demonstration were almost three hundred yet the three who were chastised are the most influential through whom the protest was orchestrated.

“The three men were the people who led the commotion. Although they were many as the video revealed, yet the three are the principals and if there is any cost, they are the ones to pay for it,” he said.

He further advised young men in the community to desist from such and embark on matters that will help elevate the name of the Juaben Municipality.

“What the men did was ill-mannered and does not portray Juaben in a better way. If there is anything, you do not understand, consult your leaders or have a second thought over it. Don’t just take any hasty decision. It does not help to progress the town and the nation,” he ended.
