Roro has become the latest music producer to accuse Kuami Eugene of sampling tracks without permission.

In what has become a normal accusation against the Lynx Entertainment Signee and reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Award's Artist of The Year, the music producer, Roro has stated that he must stop the unfortunate habit of taking intellectual property without permission.

This time accused of using melody and lyrics from the late Prophet Seth Frimpong’s ‘okumcholla’ song on his own 'Dollar on You' track, Roro explained how he is entitled to royalties from 'Okumcholla' because of his contributions to the track therefore Kuami Eugene should have come to him first before using elements of the track.

The Renowned sound engineer and music producer, while speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM’s popular ‘Hammer Time’ entertainment program, however, revealed that he has gotten in touch with Kuami Eugene and Lynx entertainment, and they have agreed to share the royalties of the track with him.

Royalties are not the problem, he said, but the disrespect of not being consulted for a song he produced should not be coming from an artist like Kuami Eugene.

Roro Berated Kuami Eugene's manager, Richie Mensah, stated that the manager should have known better.

“Richie and Kuami should know better. I felt disrespect when I had to rather contact them myself over this. I have been in touch with them and they have agreed to share royalties with us over the song.

"Sampling someone’s lyrics are not bad as you even contribute to reviving the song especially when the artist is big but when you do it without the consent of the artist or management, that’s disrespectful and wrong and until someone sues an artist for a huge amount, this practice will continue. We need to do the right thing.”

Roro finally sounded off his last warning to Kuami Eugene as artistes like Adane Best and others have also accused Kuami Eugene of ‘stealing’ their lyrics and melodies without giving credit or notifying them beforehand.
