Malawi seeks support over deadly cholera outbreak

The government of Malawi has made an appeal for assistance in fighting a cholera outbreak that has already claimed hundreds of lives.

The outbreak started in March 2022, but it has recently intensified. It has spread to almost all 28 districts in Malawi.

The administration issued a statement requesting assistance with medical supplies and support for the restrooms at schools.

Additionally, it requested chlorine, oral rehydration salts, and money.

However, the suggestion that funders should get in touch with the national coordinator using a gmail address rather than one with a government domain has drawn criticism.
