MCE hands over site to contractor for the construction of melcom complex at Kaamu

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi Honorable Alexander Obour Damoah handed over the site to Dagbaani Boss construction firm for the construction of a melon complex at Kaamu a suburb of Wenchi in the Bono Region.

Addressing the media after the handing over ceremony commended his pre successor Hon Dr. Prince Kwakye Afiriyie for facilitating the project during his turner in office.

This was in response to an earlier visit by him to the Head office of the Melcom group of companies who had acquired the land and left it unattended for years as part of his vision to give Wenchi a facelift.

The project is expected to complete within three months.

He was optimistic that the project when completed, will boost economic activities and also create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth within the area.

He assured the inhabitants living in the Wenchi Municipality that he will strive to bring the municipality its fair share of developmental projects and programs to develop the area.

Mr. Abdul Rahim Haruna, the Chief Executive Officer of Dagbaani Boss construction firm promised to employees youth within the area.

He assured me to complete the work within the required 90 days ( 3 months).

He called for cooperation with the community members, the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, and Traditional Authorities to enable them to do their work.

Assembly Member of Kaamu Electoral Area, Hon Francis Nantwi Boateng commended both the former MCE Honorable Dr. Prince Kwakye Afiriyie, and the current MCE Hon Alexander Obour Damoah for bringing the project to Kaamu to improve economic activities.

He pledged to assist the contractor in whichever way he and the community members could help make the project a success.
