Promoting Cultural Heritage-  Urhobo Progress Union Of Nigeria  Ghana Chapter Observes Tenth Anniversary
The Urhobo People who are the fifth largest ethnic group in Nigeria have resolved to build an Urhobo house in Ghana to promote their cultural heritage.
 This was disclosed to the media in Accra during the tenth anniversary and fundraising of the union. 
 
Olorogun Edoreh E. Agbah, (The Ugbugba of Ughelli and the Edirinverere of Olomu) who was the chairman of the occasion gave a brief history of the Urhobos.
The newly elected President of the Union, Chief David Ukueku, stressing the promotion of the Urhobo culture in Ghana, disclosed that the Urhobos were once here in  Ghana until he Allien  Repartraition  Act time when they were forced back home. "we are keen on building an Urhobo house here in Ghana", he said.
His Royal Highness, Prince Nicholas Atinaga, of Ijere Kingdom, Delta State expressed his happiness as to the resolve of the union to promote their culture in a foreign land.
 HRH, who is also the new secretary elect said the Urhobo house when completed will afford them a place to fraternize and learn their culture to strengthen the bond between the two countries and their people.
 The occasion also brought about some high-profile dignitaries.
