Shatta Wale is cautioned by the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled not to make fun of Stonebwoy's disabilities

Shatta went all out last week during a performance at Sallahfest, accusing Stonebwoy of using his absence from the much awaited event as a pretext to sideline him (Shatta Wale) for the show.

The Kakai hitmaker, known for his frequent outbursts, ridiculed Stonebwoy's gait and used derogatory language, which sparked a significant response after the video went viral on social media.

 It's possible that this is what prompted the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled to urge Shatta to stop making fun of Stonebwoy's disabilities.

The GSPD denounced Shatta Wale's activities in a news release today, calling them reckless and possibly detrimental to the mental well-being of the community of people with physical disabilities.

“The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has seen a video circulating on social media where Shatta Wale mocks Stonebouy with his disability. In the video, Shatta Wale said among other negative statements "You are a bad person that is why God made you a disabled person, you are a disabled person don't try and fight an able person".”

“By this statement, he is trying to say all persons with disabilities are bad that is why God has made us who we are. This primitive statement should not have come from a high-profile personality like Shata Wale,” the statement read.

The group urged Shatta Wale to apologize to the community and take action to delete the offending videos from social media platforms, insisting that having a disability does not indicate a person is cursed or that God is punishing them. The GSPD reminded everyone that it is illegal to make fun of or disparage someone because of their condition, citing the condition Act 715.

“We want to remind Shatta Wale that a section of his own fans who are making him who he is, are persons with disabilities. Did he think how they will feel? or Shatta Wale thinks he has made it so he does not care?”
