Sofoline : Motor rider nearly butchered trotro driver

A commercial driver has attempted to chase out Sofoline Terminal Guard Officer with a machete for preventing him to stop and load under the Sofoline traffic light in the Kwadso Municipal of the Ashanti Region. 

The incident occurred in front of the Sofoline lorry terminal traffic light, a place declared as an unauthorized for commercial drivers to stop and load passengers a commercial driver by name Ahmed with a vehicle registration number AS 4266-2022  pulled out a machete from his vehicle to chase out a Terminal Guard Officer who was in the process of locking his car for loading under the traffic light but the guard for fear of his life fleed.

The work of the Terminal Guard Officers is to arrest drivers who go contrary to stop and load at unauthorized places, which the drivers are asked to pay spot fines, and if a driver failed to pay the spot fine, his vehicle is locked and ceased until the money is paid so that the driver who refuses to pay cannot escape with the car.    

The chairman of the Terminal, Mr. Albert Boamah speaking to the media said, he is equally incensed over the issue and these are some of the little mistakes some. of the commercial drivers do to create road accidents.  

According to him, he has reported the incident to the sofoline Police station and has also called on IGP to look into the matter because such conduct shouldn't be tolerated at all.  

However, invitations conducted by Opamago Paparichy, Sorienews correspondent has that the vehicle is alleged to have been owned by a police officer called Mr. Afrane in the Kumasi Metropolis.

The driver at the time of this publication has not been arrested for interrogation over his actions in committing a crime.
