Traders within the enclave who trade in foodstuff stressed how they are running at a loss due to the dusty road network.

Some residents of Kwabenakwa, a suburb of Obuasi east district of the Ashanti region are pleading to the authority to expedite the construction of the road which links Kwabenakwa to Mampamhwe.

"The items we sell are directly exposed to dust, due to that consumers come and leave thinking the goods is expired", some provision store operates stressed.

Some added their voice on how consumers of foodstuffs from the roadside might fall sick in the coming days.

They say vegetables and other foodstuffs which they share openly on the roadside are directly exposed to the dust hence persons who purchase such items are considered consuming dust day in day out which perhaps might lead to risking their health shortly.

Some are pleading with the drivers to slow down when driving on the stretch to ease dust spreading to their homes.

 A resident added that it has become difficult for them to dry white attire in the open.

"My brother if you want to dry your attire save without attracting the dust, then u have to dry it far away from the roadside else you may not be able to put it on again after washing", he told soireenews.

The residents are pleading with the authority to instruct the constructor to at least water the road twice a day as they await full completion.
