Wenchi : NPP Constituency elections underway

The New Patriotic Party (NPP)  is from today up to May 2, 2022, holding its constituency executives election across the 275 constituencies.

Constituency elections committee Chairman in Wenchi and also the Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi, Honorable Alexander Obour Damoah said Wenchi Constituency will hold its election today to elect its officers.

He said a total of 732 delegates are expected to cast their ballots for 34  candidates contesting for various positions.

The positions to be contested include Constituency Chairperson, First Vice-Chairperson, Second Vice-Chairperson, Constituency Secretary, Assistant Constituency Secretary, and Organizer.

The rest are Constituency Treasurer, Constituency Women Organizer, and Constituency NASARA Coordinator.

The elections would be supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC) he explained.

Hon Alexander Obour Damoah urged the delegates to comport themselves and ensure the successful conduct of the elections.

Former Consulate to the US under the Former President John AgyekumKKuffour'ssr administration, Dr. Adom Busia urged the delegates to vote for people who have a party at heart and are ready to sacrifice for the growth of the party.

On his part the Deputy CEO for PBC Limited, Mr. Alfred Ofori Annie urged both contestants and delegates to maintain peaceful coexistence during and after the elections.

He, therefore, urged the contestants to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith.
