The Chief of Adeiso community, Osabarima Asare Oduro II has called for the removal of the Upper  West Akim District Chief Executive, (DCE) Mr Eugene Sackey from office for non-performance and poor working relationship with the chiefs.

The visibly aggrieved Chief requested President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to renew the mandate of the DCE if the President wants to expedite social and development in the community because he has failed to perform to the expectation of the people he claims to be serving.

The chief accused the DCE of championing divisions and sidelining some chiefs including market folks and opinion leaders in the decision-making process.

He alleged that since the DCE assumed office, he had displayed a very poor working relationship with the chiefs as well as the traditional authorities.

He indicated that his hostile attitude had stifled development in the district and "l am calling for the dismissal of DCE."

He pointed that if the President wants to appoint the DCE for the area in such a time, he should send the appointing committee to consult the chiefs, youths, opinion leaders, traditional officeholders and elders and the constituency executives before he gives the green light.

He noted that their investigations have established the absence of the key stakeholders and chiefs during the appointment of people to the DCE position and has compounded the problem of the President not to get the good person to become the DCE in the area.

The 'so-called' DCE only commissioned a KVIP project constructed by his predecessor who was contesting as parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress and happens to be his brother-in-law to aid his bid to win the election.

According to Nana Osabarima Asare Oduro II, the DCE has never commissioned any of his projects for the entire four years of staying in office.

"Adeiso community don't have a post office because the place of service was part of the store the previous NDC DCE built at the market. Honourable Eugene Sackey rented all the stores and finally rented out the Post office. I and my elders made several attempts to prevent this from happening but he turned deaf ears to us.

"He never listened to or respected our views. Mr President, as we speak now, any student who used Adeiso Post Office to apply for school still have their letters waiting to be picked at either Nsawam or Oda post office.

"Your Excellency, we are therefore appealing to you to remove Mr Eugene from office to enhance peace and development in the District."

He disclosed his joy when Mr Akufo-Addo was re-elected as the President of the Republic of Ghana, and that the Member of Parliament who won the Parliamentary slot is of the New Patriotic Party.

He further accused the DCE for failing to listen to heed the advice of the chiefs and opinion leaders, accusing him of doing things are not in the interest of the people in the area.

He beseeched the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to change the DCE and make the Adeiso Community great under his second term of office.
