Denmark celebrate win

Denmark has once again recorded another victory to advance to the semi=finals of the EURO 2020 tournament.

It is their first time since 1992, with their 29-year gap between last four appearances. the longest in the history of the competition.

The Danes started slowly, losing their first two games to Finland and Belgium respectively in the group stage.

However, Denmark gained momentum after thrashing Russia by 4-1 in their last group game encounter and proceeded to the knockout stage by beating Wales by 4-0.

It has really been an incredible journey for the Danes after their star player, Christian Eriksen was discharged from the hospital following his collapse in a match against the Finns.

Denmark first-half goals from Delaney and Dolberg were enough to send the Czech Republic home as they booked a semi-final place in the Euro 2020.

Thomas Delaney gave Denmark an early lead in the 5th minute of the first half before Kasper Dolberg doubled the advantage, three minutes before half-time.

Dolberg's goal makes him the Dannes joint top scorer in European Championship history with three goals (along with Jon Dahl Tomasson, Brian Laudrup, Henrik Larsen and Frank Arnesen).

Patrik Schick halved Denmark's advantage at the beginning of the second half and despite a spirited effort, Czech Republic could not get on the scoresheet again, for the rest of the game, thereby sending Denmark through to the semifinals.
