THE PRO-NDC youth groups who are supporters and sympathizers of Mr Sam Jonah And Mr Joseph Yamin are boiling with anger at the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) former President H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
The members of the group called Social Social Democratic Forum of the NDC couldn't fathom why former President Dramani Mahama would be taken decision to retain former Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for his running mate for the 2024 general election.
The Social Democratic Forum of the NDC would like to express our concerns regarding the potential selection of Prof, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang missteps costed the party valuable support and ultimately contributed to our defeat.
"We strongly advise against this choice due to several reasons.Prof, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang's performance in the last elections led to significant setbacks for the NDC," the group in a press statement signed and issued by the Chairman of the group, Mr Ahianu Folivi George.
The statement which was copied to Soireenews.com noted that Prof Opoku-Agyemang missteps costed the party valuable support and ultimately contributed to our defeat.
According to the statement, it is evident that her candidacy may not be in the best interest of the party's success in the upcoming elections.
"Instead, we recommend considering candidates from the Ashanti region, such as Sam Jonah or Joseph Yamin, who could potentially strengthen the party's position in the region.
"Their experience and influence could significantly improve the party's fortunes and help garner support from the Ashanti region.
The group urged former President Dramani to carefully consider these points and make a decision that will benefit the NDC and its electoral prospects.
